We are a technology services firm that works with financial services organisations to adopt AI, modernise platforms, and manage security.
01 / 2015
We began as an innovation consultancy, helping large organisations like Qantas, EY, Bupa, and ANZ transform their operations through technology.
02 / 2020
As COVID disrupted markets, we pivoted from institutional innovation to delivering agile engineering teams for technology companies, led by industry veterans and backed by a strong advisory board.
03 / Late 2020
When the World Food Programme enlisted us to support conflict-sensitivity tech in the Philippines and Bangladesh, we demonstrated our model works at scale and in complex environments.
04 / 2021
Following that success, we partnered with the Swiss Government and the United Nations to support critical programs in the Horn of Africa, solidifying our role in mission-driven tech.
05 / 2020 to 2022
We grew from a tight-knit core of six to over 100 full-time engineers, focused on empowering early-stage companies and high-impact initiatives.
06 / Late 2022
Station Five had evolved beyond its original scope. We rebranded to Adaca, a name that pays tribute to Ada Lovelace, the first ever computer programmer.
07 / 2023
Adaca sharpened its focus on regulated industries, building experience across fintech, super, and government. The same context now applies across all six verticals.
08 / 2024
We commenced research and development into AI Services, the early shape of what is now the AI Services practice.
09 / 2025
We launched AI-Augmented Software Development: senior engineers shipping production software faster with AI tools in the delivery flow, using the same engagement model as our core Personnel offering.
10 / 2026
Vendor-agnostic AI operations launched across Anthropic Claude, OpenAI ChatGPT, and Microsoft Copilot. Run-the-engine support for the AI estate, regardless of platform.
